Homeopatické léky jsou součástí komplexní péče, mohou se používat jako hlavní metoda léčby, anebo jako vedlejší neboli podpůrná metoda, která je vhodnou variantou ke klasické medicíně. Výhodou homeopatik je to, že jsou bez známých nežádoucích účinků, neovlivňují účinky klasických léků a mohou být pacientovi nastaveny na míru. Užívat je mohou děti, těhotné a kojící ženy i senioři.

V Evropě se homeopatické přípravky používají už více než 200 let. Francie, Německo nebo Velká Británie patří mezi státy s dlouholetou homeopatickou tradicí, díky čemuž jsou homeopatické přípravky zařazeny i do evropské legislativy. 

Kromě klasické medicíny si získávají další léčebné metody jako akupunktura, klasická čínská medicína či homeopatie větší prostor i v České republice. Lidé se totiž stále víc zajímají o své zdraví a kombinují způsoby léčby tak, aby výsledný efekt byl pro jejich zdraví co nejpřínosnější a zároveň aby šlo o co nejšetrnější léčbu.

Kolik lidí zná homeopatii

  • Homeopatickou léčbu zná 79 % respondentů. Za účinnou považuje homeopatii 67 % dotázaných. 
  • Průzkum ukázal, že nejvíce z uživatelů používá homeopatické léčivé přípravky na nemoci zimního období (38 %), pro podporu imunity a prevenci běžných nachlazení (33 %) a pro léčbu stresu a úzkostí (26 %). 
  • Nejčastějšími důvody, proč se dotazovaní rozhodli léčit se pomocí homeopatie, bylo doporučení známých (55 %), doporučení lékaře (39 %) či díky informacím vyhledaných na internetu (35 %).

Přínos homeopatie potvrzují nejen zkušenosti samotných lékařů zabývajících se tímto přístupem, ale i rostoucí počet pacientů, kteří s ní mají dobrou zkušenost a od samotných lékařů tuto možnost léčby požadují.

Podle loňského průzkumu společnosti MindBridge Consulting lidé homeopatii nejčastěji volí kvůli tomu, že jde o přírodní metodu, protože nechtějí používat chemické přípravky. Případně proto, že jim homeopatickou léčbu doporučili známí, častým důvodem je také fakt, že je bez vedlejších účinků.

Ideální je, když pacient vyhledá lékaře, který je v homeopatii vzdělán a umí vybrat lék na míru. Pro radu může jít i do lékárny, kde by měl být vyškolený lékárník schopen nabídnout vhodný lék. Homeopatie v české legislativě

České právní předpisy o zařazení homeopatických léčivých přípravků vycházejí z evropské legislativy. Jejich registraci upravuje zákon č. 378/2007 Sb., o léčivech, díky kterému je možné registrovat ty přípravky, které splňují definici homeopatického léčivého přípravku.

Zjednodušeným postupem jsou registrované tzv. monokomponenty, tedy léčivé přípravky obsahující pouze jednu léčivou složku, u kterých není uvedena léčebná indikace. Řízením o specifických homeopatických přípravcích jsou registrované vícesložkové přípravky, u kterých je indikace uvedena.

Bez ohledu na typ registrace Státní ústav pro kontrolu léčiv (SÚKL) požaduje pro všechny léčiva doložit kvalitu výchozích materiálů i konečného přípravku tak, aby bylo zajištěno, že jsou pro pacienta bezpečné.

Homeopatie a vědecké důkazy

Výzkumy v oblasti homeopatie se od konce 90. let minulého století zabývá londýnský Homeopathy Research Institute (HRI), v jehož čele stojí fyzik a bývalý spolupracovník britského výzkumného centra Cancer Research doktor Alexander Tournier, který absolvoval Imperial College, Cambridge University a je držitelem doktorátu z německé univerzity v Heidelbergu. 

Homeopathy Research Institute pod jeho iniciativou vznikl s jediným cílem – podporovat vysoce výzkum metody nejen v Evropě, ale i v zámoří. V současné době probíhá kampaň na podporu vědeckých důkazů v homeopatii, která je zaštítěná právě Homeopathy Research Institute. Opírá se o několik tisíc publikovaných prací a chce mimo jiné vyvrátit názor, že homeopatie je neúčinná a že jde jen o placebo.
