Má smysl mobil pro seniory?

Mobily pro seniory mají jednoduché ovládání, displej s velkým písmem a také tlačítky. Stisknutím jednoho z nich si může starý člověk přivolat pomoc přímo, nebo se automaticky rozešle „esemeska“ zvoleným lidem s informací, že se něco stalo. Vše zní dobře, ale jak fungují mobily pro seniory v praxi?

Anna Malá dostala svůj první mobilní telefon k devadesátým narozeninám. Pochvaluje si zejména hodně velká čísla. V menu mobilních telefonů určených seniorům nenajdete bluetooth, hry ani připojení k internetu. Nefungují ani jako navigační zařízení GPS, kalkulačka nebo fotoaparát. Bývají maximálně ergonomické pro snadné držení a mají hlasitý odposlech, takže se s nimi uživatelům starší generace dobře telefonuje. Jejich hlavním úkolem je však schopnost přivolání pomoci. Když majitel telefonu zmáčkne oranžové tlačítko s nápisem „SOS“, jeho blízcí poznají, že něco není v pořádku – automaticky se jim rozešle zpráva typu „Babička je v nesnázích, prosím přijeďte“.

Potřebují vůbec senioři mobilní telefon?   

Není lehké pečovat o seniora, zvláště pokud je nemocný a vy se o něj chcete starat v rodinném kruhu, doma. „Dokud je maminka v relativně dobré kondici, nevidím důvod, proč bych ji měla odložit do domova důchodců nebo jiného zařízení,“ říká dcera Anny Malé. Nicméně nemůže být s maminkou permanentně celý den, chodí přece do práce. Díky mobilnímu telefonu je však trochu klidnější.

„Před dvěma roky postihla maminku mozková mrtvice. Tenkrát byla doma sama. Že se něco přihodilo, jsme zjistili jen díky tomu, že nebrala pevnou linku, když jsem se jí snažila dovolat. Když telefon více jak půl hodiny nebrala, rozjela jsem se za ní a volala záchranku. Kdyby byla schopná přivolat si pomoc ihned, vše by se urychlilo. Dříve by dostala léky a možná by nemusela trávit téměř rok po nemocnicích.“ Anna Malá vzpomíná, jak tenkrát ležela na zemi, slyšela zvonit telefon, ale nemohla vstát. Kdyby měla po ruce mobilní přístroj, pravděpodobně by byla schopná zmáčknout oranžové tlačítko.

Výrobci mobilních telefonů počítají s tím, že senior nepotřebuje volat všem svým přátelům a známým. Tlačítka většinou fungují jako zrychlené volby – stisknete jedničku a hned voláte například synovi, pod dvojku je vnučka a podobně. Některé typy nemají dokonce ani deset tlačítek, ale třeba jen čtyři – ušetřené místo pak slouží jako prostor pro jméno.  

Ovládání mobilního telefonu je snadné a pokud senior umí používat běžnou pevnou linku, nemělo by mu dělat problém ovládat ani jednoduchý mobilní telefon bez menu a zbytečných funkcí. Na rozdíl od pevné linky můžete mít svého seniora pod kontrolou prakticky neustále a kdykoliv jej telefonicky zkontrolujete. Třeba když se prochází po zahradě, nebo jde na nákup.

Co když se senior brání?

Často bývá nejtěžší seniora přesvědčit, aby telefon vůbec používal, nebo jej nosil neustále při sobě. Seniorské mobily bývají odlehčené a skladné. Dědeček či babička jej můžou mít v kapse, pověšený na krku nebo v pouzdře připevněný na zápěstí. Nejvíce úrazů se stává v pohybu a pokud jej ovšem nechává položený na stolku a nenosí například i na toaletu, je přístroj v podstatě k ničemu.

Kolik stojí mobilní telefon pro seniory?

Ceny seniorských telefonů se od těch běžných, s nerůznějšími moderními vychytávkami, poměrně liší. Nepočítejte tedy se závratným výdajem. Seženete jej již od tisíce korun. Samozřejmě jsou některé typy dražší. Výběr záleží na situaci a schopnostech uživatele starší generace, jaké funkce chce využívat. Některé seniorské mobilní telefony v sobě mají zabudované například i rádio.
