Bydlíte ve městě a zkoušeli jste někdy jet na kole do práce? Nemusíte být ani z Prahy, abyste mi dali za pravdu, že to často bývá o život. Právě Praha ale na cyklisty z vysoka kašle, když je po oficiálních cyklotrasách vede přímo do hustého provozu nebo na chodníky mezi turisty.

Před několika dny jsem se vydal do kanceláře na kole. Do bývalého zaměstnání jsem tak jezdil poměrně často, a nečinilo mi to skoro žádný problém. Jet z Dejvic přes Stromovku a kolem holešovického Výstaviště do bývalého měšťanského pivovaru v Holešovicích nevyžadovalo podstupovat téměř žádné riziko. Tedy pokud nepočítám krátkou trasu od Výstaviště do pomyslného centra Holešovic, u které městští plánovači na cyklisty jaksi pozapomněli a těm nezbývá, než se pustit po chodníku.

Jet z Dejvic na Lhotku, sídliště nad pražskou Krčí, je trošku větší oříšek. Sice se můžete pustit po nejznámější pražské cyklotrase A2, která vede podél Vltavy od Troji až do Zbraslavi, tu však evidentně plánoval někdo, kdo na kole Prahou vůbec nejezdí. Od stanice tramvají Staroměstská po Žofín, tedy nějaké dva kilometry, mapa cyklistu navede přímo na chodník. Pokud nechcete jet po něm, můžete se pustit mezi auta na úzkou a velmi frekventovanou silnici, po které často jezdí i tramvaje.

Právě v těchto místech se rok co rok pořádají happeningy občanských sdružení za Prahu „méně motoristickou“. Silnice se na půl dne zavře, místo aut se postaví stánky, hraje se na kytary, a ulici zaplní stovky a tisíce lidí. Efekt to zatím nemělo nikdy žádný, a cyklista v tu dobu neprojede po trase A2 ani po chodníku.

Hráli jsme kličkovanou, vždyť to znáš

Ale zpět k „normálnímu“ provozu. Opravdovou chuťovkou bývá místo, kdy cyklotrasu křižuje procesí turistů z Karlova mostu směrem na Staroměstské náměstí. Tady cyklista musí chtě nechtě sesednout z kola a vydat se průchodem plným stánků s kýčovitými tričky a hrníčky. Kdybyste náhodou nechtěli jít průchodem, můžete jet ještě po velmi uzoučkém chodníku podél silnice. Modlete se ale, ať ve vašem směru nejede tramvaj. Pokud pojede, zřejmě vás sejme zpětným zrcátkem. Když vás nesejme tramvaj, po nějakých padesáti metrech narazíte do značky, kterou nějaký chytrák postavil přímo doprostřed minichodníku, takže se v podstatě nedá na kole objet.

Přežijete-li tento opravdu „chutný“ kousek cyklotrasy A2, čeká vás už „jen“ kličkovaná mezi naštvanými turisty na vltavském nábřeží. Zkuste zamračeným cizincům vysvětlovat, že jedete správně, když na chodníku není zakreslený žádný pruh pro cyklisty (ale na nenápadné označení cyklotrasy v podobě zelené miniznačky s bílým kolem uprostřed občas narazíte)! Z principu tu téměř nikdy nesesedám a poctivě se rvu o místo na slunci. Jsem přece v právu! Turisté bezesporu taky, ovšem ti netuší, že kličkovanou s cyklisty jim připravil pražský magistrát, nikoli nevychovaní kolaři.

Pěkný moment zažije cyklista také na přechodu pro chodce u Národního divadla. Chodníková část cyklotrasy A2 zde pomalu finišuje, a jako by její autor chtěl všechny uživatele přechodu na závěr poškádlit, dlouhé prodlevy mezi zelenou pro chodce a cyklisty vytvářejí moc pěkné hrozny pěších, mezi kterými se cyklista doslova utopí. Posledních pár metrů po chodníku kolem Žofína a Mánesa občas zpříjemní úklidové vozítko, jež zabere polovinu šířky chodníku.

Jeďte po pruhu, když se na něm udržíte

Za Mánesem trasa uhýbá dolů na náplavku. Cyklista se na dlažebních kostkách mírně vydrncá, aby přímo na náplavce najel na opravdu inteligentní cyklostezku. Tvoří ji dva pruhy z rovných dlaždic, široké 30 centimetrů (každý pro jeden směr jízdy), mezi kterými je dláždění o něco hustší než vně. Cyklista se musí opravdu soustředit, aby z pruhu nesjel na dlažbu, ale zároveň se musí koukat dostatečně dopředu, protože po pruzích běžně chodí chodci, aniž by tušili, že jim hrozí srážka s kolem. Případně hrozí srážka s cyklistou, který si spletl správný pruh a programově jede v protisměru.

U Výtoně se cyklista dostává na normální cyklostezku vedenou po chodníku, kde je jasně označený pruh pro kola. Konečně! Jenže právě tady začíná i oblíbená trasa pro inline bruslaře, která vede přes Modřany až do Zbraslavi. Když je pěkné počasí, cyklisté a bruslaři se stávají protivníky na život a na smrt. Ostatně, stejný problém má trasa A2 i na opačném konci Prahy mezi Trojou a Klecany. Magistrát zřejmě s bruslaři vůbec nepočítal, když tu vybudoval nádherně hladkou asfaltku a označil ji jako cyklostezku.

Ale nešť, s bruslaři se nějak vyrovnáme. Kéž by stejnou cyklostezku, nebo alespoň pruh pro cyklisty, vyznačil magistrát i v centru města. Nebo všechny plánované cyklotrasy skončí jako pruhy na Štefánikově mostě, kde cyklista jede po cyklostezce, která najednou bez oznámení končí a kolaři, poraď si sám?

Pane primátore, kde jsou ty kilometry cyklostezek, které jste nám při minulé předvolební kampani sliboval z obřích billboardů po celém městě? Zkuste si někdy zajet na úřad na kole, a pokud přežijete, udělejte s tím něco!
