Test: Dětské balzámy na rty obsahují i karcinogenní látky

Laboratoř potvrdila, že jelení loje a další tyčinky na rty určené dětem mají ve složení rizikové minerální oleje. Ročně přitom „sníme“ až čtyři balzámy na rty, děti ještě víc.

Před více než rokem zjistil spotřebitelský časopis dTest, že většina testovaných balzámů na rty pro dospělé neuspěla v laboratorních testech kvůli výskytu potenciálně rizikových složek minerálních olejů. Na laboratorní rozbor proto poslal dodatečně i balzámy určené dětem. Nejnovější výsledky ukázaly, že ani dětské kosmetické produkty nejsou zárukou kvality.

Cílem testu bylo prověřit, zda jelení loje pro děti neobsahují nežádoucí minerální oleje. „Do laboratoře jsme odeslali třiadvacet balzámů, mezi nimiž bylo i sedm vzorků pomád, které nejsou výrobci výslovně určené dětem. Rozhodli jsme se je ale zařadit, protože mohou spotřebitele mást – ať už kvůli pohádkovým postavám na obalu, barvám, matoucím názvům, lákavým vůním, nebo příchutím,“ popisuje výběr výrobků Hana Hoffmannová, šéfredaktorka časopisu dTest.

Balzámy pro děti obsahují nevhodné látky

Chemické zkoušky ukázaly, že jedenáct testovaných balzámů na rty je pro děti nevhodných a tři výrobky jsou dokonce potenciálně rizikové.

Nevalné výsledky si většina balzámů odnesla právě kvůli výskytu minerálních olejů: konkrétně jejich aromatických uhlovodíků (MOAH) a nasycených uhlovodíků (MOSH). Minerální oleje se v kosmetice používají hlavně pro svůj zvlhčující efekt a schopnost vytvářet lesklý povlak. Látky MOSH jsou problematické zejména kvůli riziku hromadění ve vnitřních orgánech, nejčastěji v játrech, slezině nebo lymfatických uzlinách. V případě látek MOAH se zase jedná o potenciální karcinogeny.

„Kvůli chemickému složení řadíme mezi potenciálně rizikové tyto tři výrobky: H&M Frozen Disney Vanilla Watermelon Strawberry, Jelení lůj Princezna Bubble Gum a Tonymoly Panda´s Dream Pocket Lip Balm,“ vyjmenovává Hana Hoffmannová.

Vyjádření chemického výrobního družstva Detecha, výrobce produktu Jelení lůj Princezna:

„Bezpečnost Jeleního loje Princezna potvrdil i pro roční děti Státní zdravotní ústav – splňuje české i evropské předpisy,“ uvádí Detecha v reakci na závěry testu a dále píše:

V roce 2017 tradiční český výrobce Detecha uvedl na trh produkt Jelení lůj Princezna. Ještě před začátkem prodeje si nechal pro tento balzám na rty ověřit od Státního zdravotního ústavu bezpečnost výrobku pro zdraví osob od jednoho roku. Detecha získala kladné hodnocení, které jen potvrdilo dlouhodobé zásady novoměstského družstva.

„Tvrzení, o tom, že náš výrobek je vysoce nebezpečný, které se objevilo v médiích, nás samozřejmě velmi rozčílilo. Už 65 let se snažíme udržet kvalitu našich ryze českých výrobků na vysoké úrovni. Na všechny naše výrobky máme předepsané certifikáty a jako výrobce kosmetických výrobků dodržujeme veškeré zákonné normy, hygienická pravidla a dbáme na zdravotní nezávadnost výrobků,“ řekla Jana Nýčová, předsedkyně Detechy.

Detecha se obrátila na Státní zdravotní ústav znovu minulý týden, aby získala další, čerstvou atestaci pro balzám na rty Jelení lůj Princezna a ubezpečila tím své odběratele, zákazníky i širokou veřejnost o nezávadnosti výrobku. Výsledkem atestace bylo vydání certifikátu, k němuž minulý týden připojil svůj podpis ředitel ústavu MUDr. Pavel Březovský, MBA. V uděleném certifikátu se píše: „Nejsou známy žádné překážky proti uvedení výrobku na trh České republiky a ostatních členských zemí ES a proti jeho vývozu.“

Jelení lůj Princezna tedy opakovaně obstál při odborném posuzování a hodnocení své bezpečnosti a nezávadnosti, vyhovuje všem normám. „Produkt splňuje platné právní předpisy jak evropské, tak i ty přísnější české. Pokud jde o Evropskou unii, tak je v souladu s Nařízením Evropského parlamentu a rady (ES) č. 1223/2009 o kosmetických přípravcích,“ shrnula Jana Nýčová.

Ročně „sníme“ čtyři tyčinky na rty

Přísnější pohled na složení jeleních lojů je podle autorů testu oprávněný. Rty jsou pokryty jednou z nejtenčích vrstev kůže, při mazání rtů se nám proto do těla vstřebá výrazně více látek než například při mazání rukou.

Kromě toho si část balzámů ze rtů slízneme. Jak dTest uvádí, podle Evropské komise dospělý člověk pravidelně používající balzám na rty spořádá nechtěně až 20 gramů „jeleního loje“ ročně, což odpovídá zhruba čtyřem průměrně velkým tyčinkám. U dětí to může být ještě více – balzámy je svou vůní a příchutí lákají takřka k nakousnutí.

Stejně jako v případě jiných potenciálně rizikových látek i zde platí, že pokud člověk používá velmi často výrobek s obsahem i minimálního množství škodlivin, jejich množství se sčítá a kombinuje s dalšími zdroji těchto i jiných chemických látek. Celkové množství takto zkonzumovaných chemikálií se pak kombinuje a pro organismus může znamenat určité riziko.

dTest doporučuje spotřebitelům, aby pečlivě četli složení na obalu výrobků, zvlášť u dětských produktů. Všechny kosmetické přípravky musejí své složení uvádět v rámci takzvaného INCI listu (Mezinárodní nomenklatury kosmetických přísad), který je uveden na zadní straně obalu.

Jestli se chcete kritickým látkám obsaženým v balzámech na rty zcela vyhnout, sáhněte po výrobcích bez minerálních olejů.

  • paraffinum liquidum (tekutý parafin)

  • ozokerite (uhlovodíkový vosk)
  • cera microcristallina
  • ceresin

  • polyisobutene
  • polybutene
  • hydrogenated polyisobutene
  • polyethylene
